Company History

Building Products Development was founded in 2002 by owner Leo Neyer and his team.  Neyer ownes and manages Building Research Systems, a company that provide innovative technologies to the metal construction market by developing and licensing new products. With Neyer’s expertise and knowledge of the industry BPD was formed to design and market a series of clips and accessory parts.   BPD now specializes in designing, manufacturing and testing a wide variety of clips that outperform others in the industry to accommodate the needs of their customers. 

While independent from BRS, the work with smaller firms performed by BPD provides both companies insight into the marketplace – from the perspectives of large manufacturers all the way down to small, on-site roll formers.  

Since inception, Building Products Development, Inc. has focused on developing and producing state of the art products for the metal construction industry. Our resources and expertise have allowed us to develop standing seam clips with exceptional performance that can easily be adapted to fit almost any standing seam profile.

Mission

More than a clip provider: We offer expert services on clip development, technical and product applications, erection procedures and product complications out in the field.  With more than 40 years  of experience in the metal building industry, including roof design, testing, fabrication, and erection, BPD has a unique advantage over other clip providers because we can provide unparalleled support for our customers.
